What are Moles?
A mole is a type of benign skin lesion that occurs when the cells of your skin cluster together. Although most moles are not dangerous it is possible for a mole to develop into skin cancer. So if you notice any changes in a mole you should have it checked by a dermatologist for skin cancer.

How do we treat Moles?
When we remove a mole we first start by preforming a biopsy (cutting a small part of the mole out for examination). We do this because if the mole is cancerous cutting throughout it will not cause the cancer to spread. Then we will cut out the entire mole, and depending if it was cancerous or not a rim of normal skin around the area, and then stitch up the wound.
